The following article is part of a paid partnership between The Girl Scouts of West Central Florida and I Love the ‘Burg

It’s Girl Scout Cookie season in St. Pete, and in-person cookie booths are back. Of course, you can also order your cookies online if you prefer. Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Toffee-tastic and more familiar favorites are available. Of course, the Girl Scouts have expanded the breadth of flavors offered. Here are a few worth considering (and salivating over):

  • Girl Scout Cookie S’mores: Crunchy graham sandwich cookies with chocolate and marshmallow filling
  • Adventurefuls: Indulgent brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt.

You can look up the nearest spot selling Girl Scout Cookies online here. Pro tip: put that box of Thin Mint Cookies in the refrigerator for a few hours, and then devour them.

Gluten-free, vegan, and kosher options for Girl Scout Cookies

The Toffee-tastic and Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies are gluten-free. Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Lemonades, and Toast-Yay! cookies are vegan. And every flavor variety is kosher and Halal certified.

The cookie program ends on March 13, so we highly recommend you get your boxes while you can. Don’t forget that there is a mission behind these cookie sales. This time of year is integral to raising significant funds for the Girl Scouts.

The organization is 2.7 million strong—1.9 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe  in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world.

Girl Scouts offers invaluable education opportunities for young girls

Girl Scouts’ journey began more than 100 years ago with the original G.I.R.L., Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in girls’ ability to empower themselves and make a difference in their communities. She organized the first Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, and every year since, the organization has made her vision a reality, helping girls discover the strengths, passions, and talents.

This mission of Girl Scouts is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. They are the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. Those involved in Girl Scouts learn valuable survival skills, enjoy outdoor educations and become more privy to the ecosystems in their communities, gain insights into STEM, and of course foster lifelong friendships and connections.
