St. Pete French Fry Fest returns for Valentine’s Day

French fries are my Valentines, and that’s OK. Valentine’s Day can be a lovely holiday for sure. Poetry, candy, fancy dinners, red velvet cake on every menu, and expressions of true love are all things I can get behind; however, for those of us who may lean more toward the internet generated Singles Awareness Day, we may want something a bit more fun. Enter French Fry Fest, a spudtastic extravaganza where the starchy snacks are the main focus.

Myriad food festivals coming soon to St. Pete

This fantastic foodie event is presented by the prolific Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association. This group is responsible for some of the best food events in the entire city. Need examples? The melty grilled cheese festival, the tater tot throw down, the 1st Annual Italian Food and Wine Festival, the Asian Street Food Festival, and more have all come to the Sunshine City courtesy of Gulf to Bay. I appreciate y’all!

French Fry Fest will run for TWO DAYS! It’s set to take place on February 14 and 15 from 6-11pm both days. The event is free and open to the public. French Fry Fest is pet-friendly too in case you want bring your four-legged friend.

Family- and pet-friendly event

Purchase an adult beverage and explore dozens of Tampa Bay area food trucks. Please note: French fries won’t be the only things on the menu. Each participating food truck is tasked with creating at least one French fry specific dish in addition to offering a normal menu.

French Fry Fest takes place at North Straub Park, located at 400 Bayshore Drive Northeast.
